When Will FIFA World Cup 2022 Tickets Go On Sale?
With this World Cup being different to any other we have had, due to it being moved to the winter.
It, therefore, means that dates for ticket sales aren’t the same as previous editions of the tournament.
They can though be used as a guideline of when to expect them.
Tickets are currently not on sale (except hospitality tickets) and there is currently no info on when they will be available.
However, what Fifa tends to do is start their ticket sales 9 months before the tournament and in the same month as the World Cup draw.
This is exactly what happened for the Russia 2018 World Cup where tickets went on sale in September 2017, 9 months before it started.
Ticket Groups
While April 2021 is an estimated date of when tickets will go on sale, there will be different numerous phrases and stages in which they are handed out.
As it is not a case of all tickets going on sale and one time.
To start with you will have the first phase which will consist of two stages.
One stage will be drawn where fans will be chosen at random for a chance to buy tickets.
For the second stage, fans have more of a chance of getting tickets, as it will be first come first serve, with fans being able to buy them on the site.
However, as previous World Cups have shown, and just as you would expect these sell out lighting quickly.
The second phase will be just like the first, with two stages, one being a draw and the other first serving, however, this will take place a few months later.
What Is A Fan-ID And Will You Need One For Qatar?
If you have ever been to a Fifa or Uefa tournament you may know that Fan-ID’s are a requirement in order to enter stadiums and sometimes the country.
Now Fan-IDs will likely need to be worn at the Qatar 2022 World Cup by all fans. This is how these tournaments work and has been the requirement for previous tournaments.
The Fan-ID has its perks, as you will be able to get free transport to the games and be able to enter the country without a visa.
How Can You Get A Fan-ID For Qatar 2022?
Once you have brought your tickets you will need to register for a Fan-ID on the official website.
Here you will need to give your passport, photo of yourself, and other details on your demographic.
This should take only a few days to process, before being sent out to you.
You can opt for it to be sent directly to where you live or you can pick it up within Qatar, its entirely up to you.
How Much Will FIFA World Cup 2022 Tickets Cost?
Now its time to talk about how much the world cup 2022 tickets will cost.
As I have briefly talked about earlier there will be different types of tickets to offer.
Each of which will come at its own prices.
To start with, let’s go over the main tickets the majority of fans will be desperate to get their hands on.
Match Tickets
The standard Match Tickets which are the tickets for the seat in the stadium alone will be the most in-demand to get your hands on.
However despite the demand, these are set to be put up on sale at one of the cheapest prices in recent world cups.
Now like previous world cups there will be 4 categories. Three of these categories will be for fans around the world, while the 4th category will be for Qatar residents.
Category 1 will be the highest priced however will offer fans the best view, as you go through the other two categories the price will go down and the view won’t be as great.
Now the exact prices for Qatar 2022 are yet to be announced however the rumor is that the lowest-priced tickets which are Category 3 will be around $69.
This is a considerable decrease from Russia 2018, as you can see from the pricing table below.
While the exact prices aren’t released for each category for each event, you are looking at roughly the same prices if not a little bit cheaper.
So chances are that getting a front-row seat at the world cup final will only set you back about £600 (RUB 66,000 = £630) which really isn’t too bad!
Hospitality
Now if your someone who wants to make sure they will be at the tournament without a doubt, then its the hospitality that is for you.
However, the only issue with the hospitality, is that while it offers a luxury experience and seat to whichever game you want to see, it comes with a hefty price.
How much exactly will it set you back you wonder? Well let me share those amounts with you now.
On the official website, there are three packages in total you can choose.
Each one offers games for different rounds in the tournament.
Team Specific Series
The first one is the team-specific series, which just like it suggests lets you purchase tickets based on your team.
It starts with Match Club at $950, Match Pavillion at $1,900, and finally Match Business Seat at $3050 a ticket.
Prices range from $950 to $3050 per ticket.
The difference between the three is the perks involved. The Match Club gives you a Category 1 ticket and standard food.
While a business seat at $3050 will offer a more luxurious and unique experience with a four-course meal, champagne, and an upmarket stadium lounge.
Single Match Package
Next up we have the single match package, which as it suggests allows you to handpick the games you want to see.
So while its hard to pick out exact teams, with the draw yet to take place, you can pick out which stadiums you want to be at and the rounds you want to see.
Here you have the same products available, from $950 Match Club to the Match Business Seat at $3,050, which offer the same perks I alluded to just above.
However, under this package, you have an additional option of the Pearl Lounge, which is rated as a 5-star package.
If you thought the business seat was expensive, then you may not want to learn that this one starts from $4,950.
Final Round Series
The penultimate package is the Final Round series, where you can book tickets to witness the finale of the World Cup 2022 with the Semis and Final.
You have the Final Round Series 2 which starts at $6700 and is guaranteed a semi-final game along with a final.
While the Final Round Series 3 will have you watching both semi-finals and the final, for a small price of $9,100 a ticket.
Venue Series
If you are someone who would rather stay in one spot and follow all the games at one stadium, then you can opt for the Venue Series.
Prices for these start at $10,750 and go as high as $796,000.
