A top-quality pair of football boots is something almost every footballer desires.
Not only are they are worn by top professionals.
But they look good and, from my experience, always feel good on your feet.
So, as a result, most footballers will want to get themselves on a pair of fresh football boots.
However, here is the problem: it is hard to get Football Boots for free if you don’t know ways to go about it.
But if you wanted to buy, let’s say, the exact pair Cristiano Ronaldo wears, then it will set you back a bit.
As the exact models, the professionals wear on their gamedays are at least a couple of hundred quid each.
So if you are someone who doesn’t have the money to budget or is a casual footballer, this is just not an option.
But as you can see by the title, I will be taking you through some easy ways to get football boots for free.
There won’t be suggestions on stealing any or anything like that. These are all perfectly legit ways to attain them.
So without further ado, let’s get into the post.
Table of Contents
1. Instagram Giveaways
The first and easiest way to get football boots for free is through giveaways.
If you look around Instagram or YouTube, you will see plenty of creators and influencers doing these giveaways.
You have football stores like ProDirect and SportsDirect doing giveaways.
There are also the brands themselves that you can sometimes find doing giveaways.
Lastly, you have influencers who companies have sent boots to giveaway.
Now no matter who you follow, as long as they are legit, of course, this opens an opportunity to win football boots without spending a dime.
However, the only problem with this way is that you aren’t guaranteed to win it.
As you will typically be pulled out a hat with thousands, maybe even tens of thousands of other people.
So there is a lot of luck involved and needed to win one.
However, if you can strike lucky, then you may find yourself at your next football match with a pair of boots you didn’t even pay for.
When you think about it, it would be pretty sweet.
So to round up this way, if you haven’t followed football-based brands on social media, its a great place to start.
Entering these sweepstakes tends only to take a minute or two to enter.
2. Build A Platform
Building a platform is arguably the best way of getting football boots for free, especially on a long-term basis.
However, the only issue with this way is that it takes time to build a platform.
Now how this works is you build an audience of people who are into what you like.
In this case, that would be football, so what you would do is build a platform of like-minded people interested in football boots.
This can be done on any social media, whether that be Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or even YouTube.
What is essential, though, is that you build an audience that engages with the content you create.
I say this because having a loyal audience makes reaching out to companies much easier.
Let’s say you have built a page that very simply showcases different football boots.
You could turn to a brand like Nike or Adidas, which are two of the leading suppliers for them.
You could then say to them that you have this amount of following that engages with your content and that you would love to showcase this new pair of football boots on them.
If they like your pitch and what you are proposing, they may decide to work with you.
As a result, you might get some boots sent from them to show to your audience.
But also importantly, as this article is about, keep too.
Now you may be thinking, why would a company send you football boots because you have a following.
Well, similar to footballers and them having sponsorships, it brings awareness to that brand.
So if you, for instance, shared a brand new football boot with people interested in new football boots, then chances are at least a few of them will check them out and potentially purchase one.
That is why influencing on social media is so big, as companies don’t mind sending people products to show to their audience if they know there is potential for them to gain something in return.
3. Using Free GPT Sites
This way takes a bit of effort; however, its a great way of getting football boots which I have used in the past.
This way is basically through using GPT sites, which is short for get-paid-to sites.
These are essentially sites that pay you in the form of rewards for doing simple tasks online.
You could get paid for completing short surveys, watching some videos, playing/downloading games, and more.
This is related because these sites will either give you cash or gift cards for retailers that sell football boots.
All sent to you ultimately for free.
This site, for example, called Swagbucks, which I personally use myself and therefore recommend, gives out both.
You can collect PayPal money or gift cards like Amazon and Nike.com vouchers to put towards boots.
Something to bear in mind is that how long it will take you to get the boots you want will depend on your goal.
If you are targeting a cheap pair worth £50 or so, then it should be pretty easy to reach it in a short period.
However, if you want expensive football boots that pros wear, then it could take you up to a few months to get the amount needed to get them.
So while this is an excellent way to get football boots for free, hence why I have put them on this list, its best to give it time and not just expect them within a few days.
4. Generous Return Systems
Taking advantage of the fantastic return systems some retailers have, is a great way to get your hands on boots.
While it will only make you a temporary owner of the boots.
Its really good for those who want to try out a decent pair of boots for a few months of your season.
In fact, this is what I did a lot in my late teens when I just couldn’t decide on a pair of boots and wanted to try different silos.
So what I would do is order a few pairs of boots, play a few games in them and then return them to then get a full refund.
Doing this, therefore, means you have boots to play in, and you don’t have to make a dent in your wallet, as you will get your money back on return.
If we take Nike’s return system, they have a 60-day return policy as of the time of writing this post.
Within this policy’s terms, you can return for any reason.
So you could buy a pair, play in them for a few games, a training session, or even a kick about at the local park.
After you have done, you simply box them up, send them back to the retailer and ask for a refund.
Now, of course, it goes without saying that you should read the full terms of a site you’re buying boots off.
But also you should take care of the boots at all times as if it looks like you have abused them they could reject you of a refund.
5. Loaning Out Your Boots
An outside-the-box way to get some football boots for free or at least for a much lower price is by loaning out your football boots.
What you can do is rent them to your friends or family for a recurring fee.
This could be £5 a week or £10 a month, or whatever rate you would like to charge.
Not only does this give others who need a pair of boots a pair to wear without having to spend big on a couple of boots.
But you can gradually earn money back on some boots you have recently brought.
So, for instance, let’s say you wanted the latest Mercurials, which are coming in at £295.65.
As an example figure, if you were to loan them out at £40 a month for three months, you could make back £120.
This leaves you with two options.
You could either wear them from here, albeit a little bit used.
Or if the retailer you have brought the boots from allows it, you could return them back to the shop.
Conclusion
Well, there you have it. Those are five ways to get football boots for free that you can give a try.
Has I have gone over, some are a little harder than others.
The loaning and returning football boots, while requiring you to buy the boots initially, is a great way to get them fast.
Whereas doing something like building a following on social media will take much longer.
However, the benefits of having a platform are my favorite by far, as you will be able to reap the rewards of new boots and gear in the future.
With all that said, I would be interested in hearing from you!
Have you tried any of the ways above, or are you thinking of giving one a go, perhaps?
