Back in the early days of football, transfers used to be so simple.

You would pay a few pounds maybe even less, and that was the deal done.

But nowadays not only are the stakes a lot higher, but everything is more complicated.

This is why for a lot of transfers, it can take weeks and even months to finalise.

As how much the footballer gets, how much the agent gets plus the clubs involved all have to be ironed out.

So the question is that when a player does sign for another club, exactly what percentage of the transfer fee goes to the player.

While soccer is one of the most popular sports, it’s a sport that has soccer players going through a roller coaster of emotions.

On top of losing games that sucks, soccer players typically have to deal with injuries here and there.

Some players get lucky and only get the odd knock, while others spend months on the sidelines.

Now being someone who has had a year-long injury, I can sympathise with any soccer player who is not only frustrated at not being able to play.

But also has doubts over money and being able to work to earn a living.

Admittedly, the money side isn’t so much of a problem for the pros, especially if they have been playing at a relatively high level for at least a few years.

Since the wages offered are typically higher than the average salary.

With that said, though, it’s still a commonly asked question, which today I will be going over the topic of whether soccer players still get paid when they are injured.

While football is a sport made for other peoples entertainment and for players enjoyment, it is ultimately a business where there is a lot of money involved.

No matter where a club is on a ladder, the owners must balance the books to keep everything running smoothly and stop the club from going under.

In recent years, in particular, with no fans being allowed into the stadium and many competitions being abandoned, it has taken its toll on a number of clubs. Some of which have unfortunately gone under.
