Now whether your either getting into running at nights or wanting to build up fitness for football by doing some daily jobs you may be wondering what footwear is the right one to wear.
One question that might be coming to mind, before going for that jog is whether you can wear football boots for a run.
Now while football boots are designed to help footballers run and kick a ball around a pitch, are they the best footwear to put on your feet when casually running?
Today I will be discussing if you can use them and what your best options are.
Can You Use Football Boots Be Used For Running?
The short and simple answer is yes, however, while football boots are completely fine to run in it all depends on the surface you are on.
For instance and I know of people who go to the nearby fields to run, running on grass you can either go with football boots or a pair of running shoes/trainers, depending on how wet the surface is.
However if your thinking of going to the gym to run on the treadmill or even for a little job around the block, you will need some running shoes.
Why Can Football Boots Be Only Used For Certain Runs?
A football boot is mainly made to help a footballer kick a ball and move around a pitch efficiently. However since they are made for different footballing surfaces, they, therefore, aren’t going to work when at the gym or running on paths.
Depending on the surface football boots have a soleplate that is optimized to give you traction and grip to a surface.
That is why if your thinking of doing some laps of a local 11 a side football pitch or some shuttle runs that using football boots is perfect.
Not only is it also good practice for a match if you play football regularly but with the grip and studs on the bottom of a football boot they are the best suitor.
The reason why football boots are not good for running at the gym or out and about is because of the studs at the bottom.
It would be quite dangerous since there would be nothing to grip you to the paths or roads, and most likely sooner or later you will fall.
You also wouldn’t be able to permit gym facilities with football boots, which is quite obvious since they would ruin equipment like a treadmill.
Conclusion
So if you are planning on getting into running the best thing to do is invest in a pair of shoes that are made for that surface.
Football boots can be used for running, but you have to make sure that where you are planning to go and run, that they work with that type of ground.
As long as they are the right size, on the right ground and give you comfort too, you should find that they will do a great job.
